This Quick Start Guide covers getting started with the Satechi Pro Hub Max (ST-UCPHMXM ST-UCPHMXS).

How to set up the Satechi Pro Hub Max

The Pro Hub Max is plug and play.

1. Connect the hub's Dual USB-C (Universal Serial Bus Type-C) Connectors to a laptop, such as the Thunderbolt ports on your MacBook.

   

2. Use the USB4 (Universal Serial Bus 4) Port to charge your device up to 100W, for up to 5K 60Hz display output, and for up to 40 gigabits per second (Gbps) data transfer.

   

3. Use the USB-A (Universal Serial Bus Type-A) data port to connect a USB device at up to 5Gbps. The USB-A port does not support charging or compact disc (CD) readers, including the Apple USB SuperDrive.

   

4. Connect an Ethernet cable to the hub's Gigabit Ethernet Port.

   

5. Connect your other devices to the hub's ports.

Important notes for the Pro Hub Max

• Connected Universal Serial Bus (USB) devices should not exceed an input current of 900mA.
• The MagSafe 3 port on the 16-inch MacBook Pro charges at up to 140W, while the USB4 Port supports up to 100W max. For fast charging, connect directly to the MagSafe 3 port.
• To reach 5K video output, you will need to use a computer, Thunderbolt cable, and monitor that supports 5K.
