Do I have to use any software with the dock?
No, the Thunderbolt 4 Multimedia Pro Dock does not require any software to be installed for use. Basically, plug and play!
SiliconMotion or DisplayLink Software is not supported or needed.
Is this compatible with the M4 iPad Pro?
Although recommended for Laptops, we can confirm compatibility with the M4 iPad Pro.
Please note: Users will be limited to 1 external display max. (If using a 2nd external monitor, it will mirror the display from the iPad or the 1st external monitor)
Why Is My Monitor Only Mirroring My Mac?
There may be a simple adjustment that needs to be made on your device to adjust this issue.
Go to "Settings" > "Displays" > Select the external monitor > Click the drop-down and select "Extended Display"
Now whenever you connect your external monitor it will extend vs only mirroring.

Is the Power Button on this Dock able to boot up a MacBook when its powered off and the lid is closed?
Our Thunderbolt 4 Multimedia Pro Dock can deliver power to your MacBook and support wake functions via the Power Button. However, due to changes in macOS starting with Ventura and later, a MacBook cannot fully boot from a powered-off state with the lid closed.
To start your MacBook from a completely shut-down state, the lid must be opened at least once.
To continue using clamshell mode, ensure that an external display, keyboard, and mouse are connected.
Note: The Power Button will not power off your MacBook ; it is only designed to shut off the dock itself.
My 4th external display is not working when connected to my Lenovo, does this support monitors?
Yes, our Multimedia Pro Dock will support up to 4 external displays. (supporting DSC)
Please note: When using a Windows Laptop like the Lenovo, in order to output video on your 4th Monitor, the host laptop must be closed and used with a wired mouse/keyboard.
When using with a tablet (like the Surface Pro 9) on-board screen must be disabled.
Could I just turn off the dock when I’m done using it?
Yes, you could turn the dock off whenever it’s not in use. Keep in mind, we would recommend to eject your connected devices prior to doing so.
Could I connect one HDMI monitor and connect one Display Port monitor to the dock?
Yes, you could connect one display to HDMI and another to Display Port to use.
Could I lay the dock flat, or do I have to use the included stand?
Yes, the Thunderbolt 4 Multimedia Dock can either be used with the stand or laying flat.
Does the dock come with a Thunderbolt 4 cable? If so, then what is the length of it?
Yes, the Thunderbolt 4 Multimedia Pro Dock includes a Thunderbolt 4 cable for connectivity to your host device - the length of the cable is 28"
