This Quick Start Guide covers setup of the Satechi 13-in-1 USB-C Triple Display Multiport Adapter (ST-P3D13K): a 13-in-1 USB-C triple-display multiport adapter with dual HDMI and DisplayPort, USB-C PD charging, six USB-A ports, Gigabit Ethernet, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Setup steps
Step 1: Connect the adapter to a compatible host device.
LED indicator would turn on once connected.
Step 2: Connect USB-C charging cable to either USB-C PD port.
Supports up to 100W, max 85W downstream (15W used for operation), USB 3.1 data transfer speeds (10Gbps). Does not support video output. Does not support CD/ DVD Drives or Apple SuperDrive.
Step 3: Connect HDMI cables from the adapter to a 4K HDMI- equipped display.
Up to 4K at 60Hz. Only supports direct HDMI connections. MST-supported for multi-display function for some Windows PCs.
Step 4: Connect DisplayPort cable from the adapter to a 4K DisplayPort-supported display.
Up to 8K at 60Hz via Windows PCs. Up to 4K at 160Hz via Apple devices. Only supports direct DisplayPort connections. MST-supported for multi-display function for some Windows PCs.
Step 5: Connect up to 6 USB-A peripherals/devices for data transfer.
2x USB 2.0 (480Mbps), 3x USB 3.0 (5Gbps), 1x USB3.1 (10Gbps). Does not support charging or CD readers including the Apple SuperDrive.
Step 6: Insert RJ45 Ethernet cable into the adapter’s Gigabit Ethernet port.
Supports up to 1 Gbps.
Step 7: Insert audio device into 3.5mm auxiliary port.
Supports both input and output. Source detected as “AB13X USB Audio”
Note: macOS, iOS, and iPadOS devices support only one extended display at a time. Any other monitors connected to the adapter will output mirrored displays.
