This Quick Start Guide covers setup of the Satechi OntheGo™ 7-in-1 Multiport Adapter (ST-POTG7C): adds USB-C PD charging, Gigabit Ethernet, 4K HDMI, a micro/SD card reader, and USB-A ports over one USB-C connection, and mounts magnetically with the included 3M adhesive ring.
Setup steps
Step 1: Connect the adapter to a compatible host device.
The white LED indicator will turn on once connected.
Step 2: Connect a USB-C charging cable to the adapter's USB-C PD charging port.
Supports up to 100W input and a maximum of 80W output (~20W is used for operation). Does not support video output, data transfer, CD/DVD drives, or Apple SuperDrive.
Step 3: Insert an RJ45 Ethernet cable into the adapter's Gigabit Ethernet port.
Supports up to 1 Gbps.
Step 4: Connect an HDMI cable from the adapter to a 4K HDMI display.
Up to 4K at 60Hz. Only supports direct HDMI connections.
Step 5: Insert micro/SD cards into the adapter's card reader slots.
Supports UHS-I read/write speeds (up to 104 MB/s; maximum capacity 2TB). Cards can be read simultaneously. Insert the microSD card with pins facing down and label facing up; insert the SD card with pins facing up and label facing down.
Step 6: Connect up to two USB-A peripherals or devices for data transfer.
Supports up to 5 Gbps. The port does not support charging or CD readers, including Apple SuperDrive.
Step 7: Use the included 3M adhesive ring to mount the adapter on your desired device.
Clean the surface before applying, as it is permanent. Make sure the USB-C connector cable reaches the host device's port.
Step 8: Wrap the USB-C connector cable around the hub and secure it in place for storage.
There is no retractable mechanism; the cable stores discreetly in the device's built-in slot.
