This Quick Start Guide covers getting started with the Satechi OntheGo™ 7-in-1 Multiport Adapter (ST-POTG7C).

How to set up the Satechi OntheGo™ 7-in-1 Multiport Adapter

1. Connect to a USB-C (Universal Serial Bus Type-C) host device: plug the Braided USB-C Cable (Host) into a USB-C port on your host device. The white light-emitting diode (LED) indicator will turn on, confirming the adapter is connected and powered.

   

2. To charge your host device while using the adapter, connect a USB-C charging cable to the USB-C Power Delivery (PD) Port (Input max. 100W) (Output max. 80W).

   

3. Connect an HDMI cable from the adapter to a 4K HDMI-equipped display. The High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) Port supports video output up to 4K at 60Hz and only supports direct HDMI connections.

   

4. Connect a USB-A (Universal Serial Bus Type-A) peripheral or storage device for data transfer at up to 5Gbps.

   

5. Insert an SD card or microSD card into the card readers. Inserting incorrectly may damage the card or reader.

   

6. Connect your other devices to the adapter's ports.

How to wrap and secure the cable on the OntheGo™ 7-in-1 Multiport Adapter

1. Coil the USB-C cable into the bottom groove of the adapter, following the circular path.
2. Push the USB-C connector into the designated clips to lock it in place.

   

3. Ensure the cable sits flush and the connector is firmly held to prevent it from coming loose during travel.

How to attach the 3M Adhesive Ring for the OntheGo™ 7-in-1 Multiport Adapter

Mounting with the 3M Adhesive Ring is optional. The ring is permanent, so plan placement before applying.

1. Clean the surface where you'll place the 3M Adhesive Ring.
2. Before peeling the adhesive, check that the USB-C cable comfortably reaches your device's port. Adjust placement if needed.
3. Remove the protective film from the 3M Adhesive Ring to expose the adhesive.
4. Press the 3M Adhesive Ring firmly onto a clean, flat surface. Avoid curved or textured areas.
5. Attach the OntheGo 7-in-1 Adapter and connect your devices.

• 2x USB-A Ports (up to 5Gbps): for peripherals or storage devices.
• USB-C PD Port (Input max. 100W) (Output max. 80W): charges your host device while you use the adapter.
• LED Indicator: solid white when connected to the host; off when disconnected from the host.
• 3M Adhesive Ring: optional mount; permanent once applied.
• HDMI Port (Up to 4K/60Hz): only supports direct HDMI connections.

Important notes for the OntheGo™ 7-in-1 Multiport Adapter

• 3M adhesive ring does not provide wireless charging.
• Insert the microSD card with the metal pins facing down. Insert the SD card with the metal pins facing up.
• Not compatible with compact disc (CD) Readers, Digital Versatile Disc (DVD) drives, or Apple USB SuperDrive.
• USB-C pass-through port does not support data transfer or video output.
• Keep away from water, liquid, and moisture.
• For best performance, connect to a USB-C port that supports Universal Serial Bus (USB) 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gbps) or higher.
