Product Overview

The OntheGo™ 7-in-1 Multiport Adapter turns one USB-C port into seven: 4K HDMI video, Gigabit Ethernet, two 5Gbps USB-A ports, SD and microSD card readers, and up to 80W of pass-through charging. It is slightly smaller than a hockey puck, the braided host cable wraps into a groove at the base, and an included 3M adhesive ring lets you mount it straight onto a laptop or tablet so it travels attached.

Setup

The OntheGo™ 7-in-1 Multiport Adapter is plug-and-play. No drivers are required.

1. Connect to a USB-C host device: Plug the built-in USB-C cable into a USB-C port on your device.
2. Connect your devices: Plug your accessories, display, cards, and charger into the adapter's ports.

Attaching the 3M adhesive ring (optional)

1. Clean the surface where you want to attach the adapter. It must be flat, smooth, and dry.
2. Remove the protective film from the 3M Adhesive Ring and press the adhesive firmly onto the adapter's base.
3. Remove the remaining protective film and press the adapter firmly onto your device.

Wrapping and securing the cable

Route the braided USB-C cable through the groove at the bottom of the adapter and press it firmly to keep it tidy during transport.

Functions

1. Braided USB-C Cable (Host): Built-in braided USB-C cable, 13 cm (5.12 in), that connects the adapter to your device's USB-C port. It wraps around the hub and stores in the groove at the base. There is no retractable mechanism.
2. SD and microSD Card Readers (UHS-I) (Up to 104 MB/s) (2TB max.): Dual card slots supporting UHS-I speeds up to 104 MB/s and cards up to 2TB. Both slots can be read at the same time. Insert cards with the metal pins facing down.
3. 2x USB-A Ports (Up to 5Gbps): Two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports for data transfer up to 5Gbps each. These do not support charging, CD or DVD drives, or the Apple USB SuperDrive.
4. USB-C PD Port (Input max. 100W) (Output max. 80W): Pass-through charging only. Accepts up to 100W input and delivers up to 80W to your device, with roughly 20W used to power the hub. Does not support data transfer or video output.
5. LED Indicator: Lights up when the adapter is connected and powered.
6. 3M Adhesive Ring: Adhesive ring that mounts the adapter to the back of your device. Clean the surface first, and use a flat, smooth area. One ring is included.
7. HDMI Port (Up to 4K/60Hz): HDMI 2.0 port supporting video up to 4K at 60Hz. Supports direct HDMI connections only.
8. Ethernet Port (Up to 1 Gigabit) (10/100/1000Mbps): Gigabit Ethernet for wired network connectivity at up to 1 Gbps.

Important Limitations

The USB-C PD port does not support data transfer or video output: It is for pass-through charging only. Around 20W of the input is used to power the hub, so the maximum output to your device is 80W.

Insert SD cards with the metal pins facing down: Always insert SD or microSD cards with the metal contact pins facing downward.

Not compatible with CD readers or the Apple USB SuperDrive: The adapter cannot power the Apple USB SuperDrive or other optical drives, because of their power requirements.

The 3M adhesive ring needs a flat, smooth, clean surface: It is not recommended for rough or textured surfaces, and it is for physical mounting only. It does not provide wireless charging.

Do not daisy-chain this adapter with other hubs: Connect the adapter directly to your host device.

Keep away from water, liquids, and heat: Do not expose the adapter to extreme heat or direct sunlight for extended periods, do not place it near heat sources, and do not drop it or subject it to strong impacts.
