What does the Black Screen button do?
The Black Screen button temporarily switches your presentation screen to black in supported applications such as PowerPoint, Keynote, and other major presentation software. Pressing the button again restores the current slide.
This feature mirrors the effect of pressing the letter “B” on a keyboard, which is a built-in shortcut in most presentation tools.
Can the laser pointer be used on all screen types?
The remote’s red laser pointer works best on traditional projection screens and whiteboards. It is not recommended for LED, LCD, or TV screens, as the laser may not be clearly visible on these surfaces.
What is the range of the remote?
Powered by Bluetooth 5.0, the remote provides a reliable operating range of up to 32 feet (10 meters), giving you the freedom to move around during presentations without being tethered to your device.
Does this remote work with e-reader apps on iPad to turn pages?
The R1 Presentation Remote is compatible with some e-reader applications on iPad, but not all. Compatibility depends on whether the specific app supports keyboard-based navigation.
What does the button with the keyboard icon do?
The Virtual Keyboard Button is functional only on iOS devices. Since the remote pairs using the same Bluetooth profile as a wireless keyboard, iPhones and iPads normally disable the on-screen keyboard. This button allows you to display the keyboard while the remote is still paired.
Unfortunately, this feature is not supported on macOS and cannot be customized for MacBook use.
