This article explains the setup for Slim EX Wireless Mouse | ST-MEXC ST-MEXS, how to charge the Slim EX Wireless Mouse, turn the Slim EX Wireless Mouse on, and pair the Slim EX Wireless Mouse with up to three devices. The Slim EX Wireless Mouse supports two Bluetooth connections and one 2.4GHz USB-C dongle connection, so a customer can switch between three paired devices.

Setup

Step 1: Charge the Slim EX Wireless Mouse

Fully charge the Slim EX Wireless Mouse before first use. Connect the included USB-C cable to the USB-C charging port on the mouse and connect the other end to a USB-C power source. Charge the mouse fully before continuing to the next step.

Step 2: Remove the adhesive film

Remove the clear adhesive film from the bottom of the Slim EX Wireless Mouse. This film is a protective shipping cover placed over the optical sensor and is not needed for normal use.

Step 3: Turn on the Slim EX Wireless Mouse

Flip the Slim EX Wireless Mouse over and slide the power switch on the back of the mouse to the "on" position. The status LED on the bottom of the mouse lights up green when the power switch is on.

Step 4: Enter pairing mode

The Slim EX Wireless Mouse has two pairing slots, labeled 1 and 2, located on the bottom of the mouse next to the power switch. To enter pairing mode:

1. Press the pairing button to select connection slot 1 or connection slot 2.
2. Hold the pairing button for 3–5 seconds.
3. Confirm the LED on the mouse flashes white. A flashing white LED means the Slim EX Wireless Mouse is ready to pair over Bluetooth.

Step 5: Pair the Slim EX Wireless Mouse over Bluetooth

The Slim EX Wireless Mouse can be paired with up to two devices over Bluetooth, using connection slots 1 and 2 from Step 4. To pair a device over Bluetooth:

1. On the device you want to pair, open Bluetooth settings and turn Bluetooth on.
2. Select "EX Mouse" from the list of available devices.
3. Select "Connect" to complete the pairing.

Repeat Step 4 and Step 5 with the other connection slot to pair a second device over Bluetooth. Once both devices are paired, press the pairing button to switch the Slim EX Wireless Mouse between connection slot 1 and connection slot 2.

Step 6: Connect a third device using the USB-C 2.4GHz dongle

The Slim EX Wireless Mouse can connect to a third device using the included USB-C 2.4GHz dongle instead of Bluetooth. To connect a third device:

1. Open the bottom cover of the Slim EX Wireless Mouse and remove the USB-C 2.4GHz dongle stored inside.

2. Insert the USB-C 2.4GHz dongle into a free USB-C port on the third device.

   

Step 7: Connect using the USB-C 2.4GHz dongle

Press the pairing button on the Slim EX Wireless Mouse to select the third connection slot. The Slim EX Wireless Mouse now connects to the third device automatically whenever the dongle is plugged in and the third connection slot is selected.

Sleep mode

The Slim EX Wireless Mouse enters sleep mode automatically after 10 minutes of inactivity, to save battery. Move the mouse or click a button to wake the Slim EX Wireless Mouse from sleep mode.
