This User Manual covers functions, charging, LED indicators, pairing, and important information for the Satechi Slim EX Wireless Mouse. The Slim EX Wireless Mouse charges with the included USB-C charging cable and connects over Bluetooth (macOS, Windows 11, and Windows 10) or the included 2.4 GHz USB-C receiver.

Slim EX Wireless Mouse Parts and Functions

The Slim EX Wireless Mouse has the following parts:

• USB-C Charging Port (1): Charges the mouse with the included USB-C charging cable.
• Left Click Button (2)
• Right Click Button (3)
• Scroll Wheel (4)
• LED Indicator (5): Blue: charging status. Red: battery low. Green: fully charged. See "LED Indicators" below.
• ON/OFF Switch (6): Green = ON. Red = OFF.
• Pairing LED Indicator (7)
• Pairing Button (8): Hold for 3 to 5 seconds, or until you see the white LED light begin to flash, to pair over Bluetooth.
• Battery Compartment (9)
• USB-C 2.4 GHz Receiver (10): The included 2.4 GHz USB-C receiver dongle, stored inside the mouse. Connect it to the USB-C port on your device to connect over 2.4 GHz.

Turning the Slim EX Wireless Mouse On and Off

Slim EX Wireless Mouse ON/OFF switch: GREEN = ON, RED = OFF.

• Use the ON/OFF switch to turn the Slim EX Wireless Mouse on or off.
• Green = ON. Red = OFF.

Charging the Slim EX Wireless Mouse

Connect the included USB-C charging cable to the USB-C Charging Port on the Slim EX Wireless Mouse, then connect the other end to a USB-C power source. Charging takes 2 to 3 hours. The Slim EX Wireless Mouse cannot be used in wired mode, but it will function while charging.

LED Indicators on the Slim EX Wireless Mouse

The LED Indicator (part 5) shows charging and battery status. A white LED shows pairing mode.

• Blue LED: Charging status.
• Red LED: Battery low.
• Green LED: Fully charged.
• White LED: Pairing mode. During Bluetooth pairing, the white LED light begins to flash.

Battery percentage shown on macOS is not supported for the Slim EX Wireless Mouse. Use the LED Indicator for battery level.

Pairing the Slim EX Wireless Mouse with macOS via Bluetooth

1. Launch Settings, then go to Bluetooth & Devices, then Add Device, then Bluetooth. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
2. Power on the Slim EX Wireless Mouse. Fully charging the mouse before initial pairing is recommended.
3. Hold the pairing button for 3 to 5 seconds, or until you see the white LED light begin to flash.
4. Select "EX Mouse" from the list of connectable devices.
5. The Slim EX Wireless Mouse will show a connected status when successfully paired.
6. Repeat this process to add up to 2 Bluetooth devices.

Pairing the Slim EX Wireless Mouse with Windows 10 or Windows 11 via Bluetooth

1. Launch Settings, then go to Bluetooth & Devices, then Add Device, then Bluetooth. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
2. Power on the Slim EX Wireless Mouse. Fully charging the mouse before initial pairing is recommended.
3. Hold the pairing button for 3 to 5 seconds, or until you see the white LED light begin to flash.
4. Select "EX Mouse" from the list, then click "Next."
5. A progress bar will appear during pairing and will disappear on its own once pairing is complete.

Connecting the Slim EX Wireless Mouse with the 2.4 GHz USB-C Receiver

1. Remove the included 2.4 GHz USB-C receiver dongle from the inside of the Slim EX Wireless Mouse.
2. Connect it to the USB-C port on your device. The Slim EX Wireless Mouse should now be connected to the 2.4 GHz receiver.

Manually Reconnecting the Slim EX Wireless Mouse to the 2.4 GHz USB-C Receiver

If the Slim EX Wireless Mouse does not connect automatically to the 2.4 GHz receiver, it may be necessary to put the mouse in pairing mode:

1. Remove the 2.4 GHz receiver from your device.
2. Hold down the right and middle mouse buttons while turning on the mouse.
3. Insert the 2.4 GHz receiver into your device. This allows the mouse to find the 2.4 GHz dongle and connect.

Multi-Device Use

The Slim EX Wireless Mouse supports multi-device sync with the EX series keyboards via the included 2.4 GHz receiver.

Important

• The Slim EX Wireless Mouse cannot be used in wired mode. It will function while charging.
• Battery percentage shown on macOS is not supported. Use the LED Indicator for battery level.
