How long does the battery last on the SM3 keyboard?

The SM3 keyboard has a 2500mAh rechargeable battery with the following estimated battery life:

• Approximately 15 days with the backlight on (at low brightness)
• Approximately 20 days with the backlight turned off

Battery life varies based on backlight brightness level, usage frequency, and connectivity mode. To maximize battery life, lower the backlight brightness or turn it off entirely using the backlight key.

The SM3 keyboard also has a built-in power-saving feature: the backlight dims after 1 minute of inactivity, turns off after 3 minutes, and the keyboard enters sleep mode after 30 minutes. This behavior is embedded in the firmware and cannot be disabled.

Is the battery in the SM3 keyboard built-in or replaceable?

The SM3 keyboard has a built-in rechargeable 2500mAh lithium battery. The battery is not user-replaceable. Charge the SM3 using the included USB-C cable connected to any USB-C power source.

How do I charge the SM3 keyboard?

Connect the included USB-C cable to the USB-C port on the top edge of the SM3 keyboard and to any USB-C charger or computer port. The blue charging LED illuminates while the keyboard is charging and turns off automatically when fully charged. The SM3 does not have battery icons or a battery percentage indicator — the blue LED is the only charging indicator.

Can I use the SM3 keyboard while it is charging?

Yes. Connect the SM3 keyboard via the USB-C cable to charge and use it in wired mode simultaneously. The keyboard functions normally while charging.

How do I know when the SM3 keyboard battery is low?

When the battery is low, the space bar key will slowly flash white and the backlight will be automatically disabled to conserve power. Connect the USB-C cable to charge.

Does the SM3 keyboard use AA batteries?
