Setup
The adapter is plug-and-play — no drivers required for most operating systems.
Step 1: Plug the built-in USB-C cable into a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3/4 port on your laptop.
Step 2: Connect your devices to the adapter's ports.
Step 3: For video output, connect an HDMI 2.1 cable from the adapter's HDMI port to your display.
Important Notes
USB-C PD port is for charging only: The USB-C PD port does not support data transfer or video output. It is for power delivery to your laptop only.
8K video output requires HDMI 2.1: To achieve 8K video output, your host device, external monitor, and HDMI cable must all support HDMI 2.1 technology. A direct HDMI-to-HDMI cable is required — adapters or converters may not work.
8K video output is not supported on macOS: The 8K 30Hz resolution is only available on Windows. On macOS, the maximum HDMI output is 4K 60Hz.
