This User Manual covers connectivity, supported resolutions, data transfer, and troubleshooting for the Satechi USB4 V2 Pro Cable (ST-YU4120K). The USB4 V2 Pro Cable supports display output up to 16K, data transfer up to 40Gbps, and 240W USB-C Power Delivery — all through a single USB-C cable.

Setup

1. Connect one end of the USB4 V2 Pro Cable to a USB4 or Thunderbolt 4 port on your computer or hub.
2. Connect the other end to a USB-C compatible display, dock, or device.
3. Your operating system will detect the connection automatically — no drivers required.

Both host port and display must support DisplayPort Alt Mode for video output. Thunderbolt 4 and USB4 ports support this by default.

Supported Display Resolutions

• 16K — Up to 16K @ 30Hz
• 8K — Up to 8K @ 120Hz
• 4K — Up to 4K @ 240Hz
• 1080p — Up to 1080p @ 540Hz

Actual resolution and refresh rate depend on both the host port and the display's capabilities. Both devices must support the target resolution.

Data Transfer

The USB4 V2 Pro Cable supports data transfer at up to 40Gbps when connected between two USB4-compatible devices. Compatible with USB4, Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, and USB 3.2 Gen 2 hosts at their respective maximum speeds.

Power Delivery

The USB4 V2 Pro Cable supports USB-C Power Delivery up to 240W, enabling simultaneous data, video, and charging through a single cable connection.

Troubleshooting

• Display not detected — Verify the host port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode (USB4 or Thunderbolt 4). Try a different USB-C port. Check the display's USB-C input specification.
• Resolution or refresh rate lower than expected — The actual output is limited by the least capable device in the chain. Confirm both the computer and display support the target resolution. Check display settings in System Preferences (macOS) or Display Settings (Windows).
• Data transfer speed is slow — Ensure both devices support USB4 Gen 2×2 (40Gbps). USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports cap at 10Gbps.
