The Virtual Keyboard button on the R1 Bluetooth Presentation Remote works only on iOS devices such as an iPhone or iPad. The R1 Remote pairs using the same Bluetooth profile as a wireless keyboard, so iPhones and iPads normally hide the on-screen keyboard while the R1 Remote is connected. The Virtual Keyboard button lets you show that on-screen keyboard manually. This feature is not supported on macOS, so it does not work on a MacBook.
