The 145W USB-C 4-Port GaN Travel Charger has four USB-C Power Delivery (PD) ports and delivers up to 145W of total output. Power Delivery (PD) is the fast-charging standard that lets each device negotiate the power it needs. GaN stands for Gallium Nitride, which allows high power in a compact, cooler-running design.
The four ports are not identical:
- PD1 and PD2: Power Delivery 3.1, up to 140W each. The full 140W is available only when a single port is in use, and reaching 140W requires a compatible cable, such as a MagSafe cable rated for it.
- PD3 and PD4: Power Delivery 3.0, up to 45W each.
The charger shares its 145W total across everything connected, giving each device the power it needs. When charging more than one device, connect your highest-power device, such as a laptop, to the PD1 port first for best results. The same applies when charging a power bank or battery pack: plug the highest-wattage device into the top port.
