The Satechi USB4 NVMe SSD Pro Enclosure works with M.2 NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory Express) PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express) solid state drives (SSDs), in capacities up to 16TB.

Supported drives

• M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen 4x4 SSDs
• Sizes 2242, 2260, and 2280
• Capacities up to 16TB

Not supported

• M.2 SATA (Serial ATA) SSDs
• Double-sided SSDs
• SSDs with pre-installed heat sinks

For the best heat management, use the included thermal pad and clear polycarbonate case. Tested drives include the Samsung 980 and 990 Pro, Samsung 970 Evo Plus, WD Black SN770 and SN750, Crucial P3, Kingston NV2, and Sabrent Rocket. You are not limited to these models. Any drive that matches the sizes and protocol above should work.
