If your Windows computer shows extremely low speeds with the Satechi USB4 NVMe SSD Pro Enclosure, you can enable write caching to improve performance. To check your current speeds, you can use the BlackMagic Disk Speed Test.

How to enable write caching on Windows

1. With the enclosure connected, open File Explorer.
2. Select This PC, then right-click the enclosure drive and open its properties.
3. Open the Policies tab.
4. Under Removal Policy, select Better Performance. This enables write caching, so always use the Safely Remove Hardware icon before unplugging the drive.
5. Under Write-caching Policy, select Enable write caching on the drive.
