The Stand & Hub for Mac Mini / Studio with NVMe SSD Enclosure supports two types of M.2 solid state drives. The drive is not included.

• NVMe M.2 PCIe SSDs: sizes M.2 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280, up to 4TB, with transfer speeds up to 10 Gbps.
• M.2 SATA SSDs: sizes M.2 2242, 2260, and 2280, with transfer speeds up to 6 Gbps.

The enclosure is plug and play and needs no drivers. It does not support double-sided drives or drives with heatsinks.

Tested NVMe examples include the Samsung 980 and 990 Pro, Samsung 970 Evo Plus, WD_Black SN770, SN750, and SN850X, WD Blue SN550, Crucial P3 and P3 Plus, SK Hynix Gold P31, Kingston NV1 and NV2, and the MP600 Mini in the 2230 size. You are not limited to these drives, as long as the drive meets the requirements above.
