- Disconnect the adapter from your Mac.
- Open System Settings > Network.
- If "USB 10/100/1000 LAN" appears, click the three-dot menu next to it and select Remove Service. On older macOS, click the minus button.
- Reconnect the adapter. macOS should re-detect the Ethernet connection automatically.
- If it shows "Not Connected," click it, go to Details > TCP/IP, and click Renew DHCP Lease.
- If it still does not work, set Configure IPv4 to "Using DHCP" and Configure IPv6 to "Link-local only."
