This User Manual covers all features, setup, and safety information for the Satechi Slim EX3 Wireless Keyboard (ST-KEX3C / ST-KEX3S).

Functions

1. Function Lock: Single press for Esc. Press Fn + Esc to lock the Fn keys.

4. Bluetooth Device Keys with LED Indicator: Press and hold for 3 seconds to assign a device. Press to switch between Bluetooth 1, 2, and 3.
5. 2.4 GHz Receiver Key with LED: Press and hold for 3 seconds to assign the 2.4 GHz receiver. Press to switch to the receiver.
6. Caps Lock LED Indicator: White LED turns on when Caps Lock is enabled.

11. 2.4 GHz Receiver USB-C: Remove it from the back of the keyboard and connect it to the USB-C port on your device.

13. MAC / WIN Switch: Hot key functions follow the OS selected with this switch.
14. ON / OFF Switch: Move to the "on" position to turn on the keyboard.
15. Power / Charging LED: Green for 3 seconds at power on, flashes red when the battery is low, red while charging, solid green when fully charged.

Hot Key Functions
The key function is based on the OS selected via the MAC/WIN switch. For F1 to F13, press Fn + Esc to enable the function. Where only one function is listed, it is the same on Mac and Windows.

Setup

Turning the Keyboard On/Off
Move the switch on the top of the device to the "on" position. The green power indicator light will turn on for about 3 seconds.

Pairing Your Devices
1. Press and hold one of the three Bluetooth keys or the 2.4 GHz receiver key for 3 seconds to assign a device. Once paired, the indicator light will go solid for 1 second and then turn off.
2. On the host device, look for "EX3 Keyboard" in the Bluetooth settings and choose "Connect" to pair. The white LED will stop blinking, indicating a successful pairing. Repeat this process to add up to 3 Bluetooth devices. If you are connecting to the 2.4 GHz receiver, ensure it is securely connected to the host device before you start the pairing process.
3. To switch between Bluetooth 1, Bluetooth 2, Bluetooth 3, and the 2.4 GHz receiver, press the dedicated pairing key to switch devices.
Note: After 60 minutes of non-operation, the keyboard will go to sleep mode. Press any key to wake it up.

2.4 GHz USB-C Dongle Connection
1. Remove the included 2.4 GHz USB-C receiver dongle from the back of your keyboard.
2. Connect it to the USB-C port on your device.
3. The EX3 keyboard should now be connected to the 2.4 GHz receiver.
Note: If the keyboard does not connect automatically to the 2.4 GHz receiver, it may be necessary to put the keyboard in pairing mode. First, remove the 2.4 GHz receiver from the device. Hold down the 2.4 GHz dongle icon on the keyboard to start the pairing process. Then insert the 2.4 GHz receiver into the device. This will allow the keyboard to find the 2.4 GHz dongle and connect.

LED Indicators

ON/OFF: turns green for 3 seconds and turns off.
Low Battery: flashes red when battery is low.
Charging: turns red while charging.
Fully Charged: turns green and stays green.
Caps Lock: white LED turns on when Caps Lock is enabled.

Charging Your Keyboard

1. When the battery is low, the power indicator will flash red. Connect the keyboard to a computer or USB-C wall adapter using the included USB-C charging cable.
2. Charge the keyboard for 2 to 3 hours, or until the red charging LED light turns green.
Note: The keyboard is designed to accept a low wattage, so any wall charger 5W or greater is acceptable.

Warning: Fire, electric shock, or damage to the keyboard could occur if the following instructions are not obeyed.
