Two things decide the right wireless charger: which iPhone you have (that sets your top charging speed) and how many devices you want to charge at once. This guide covers both in three steps.
Not sure yet? Start here
- 3-in-1 Foldable Wireless Charging Stand with Qi2 25W: the desk pick and our fastest. 25W iPhone charging, 5W Apple Watch, 5W AirPods, portrait or landscape viewing, 45W USB-C adapter included.
- OntheGo 3-in-1 Charger: the travel pick. Qi2 15W iPhone charging plus Apple Watch and AirPods, folds flat, in Black, Sand, or Desert Rose.
- 2-in-1 Foldable Qi2 Wireless Charging Stand: the two-device pick. Qi2 15W iPhone charging plus 5W for AirPods, folds for travel, portrait or landscape.
Step 1: Know your iPhone's wireless charging speed
Every Qi2 and MagSafe charger works with every iPhone 12 or newer. Your iPhone model sets the top speed:
| iPhone | Top wireless charging speed |
|---|---|
| iPhone 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max | 25W |
| iPhone 17 Air | Up to 20W |
| iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, 16 Pro Max | 25W (requires iOS 26 or later) |
| iPhone 16e | 15W |
| iPhone 12 through 15 (all models) | 15W |
A 25W charger is not wasted on a 15W iPhone; it simply charges at that iPhone's top speed. But if you have an iPhone 16 or 17 (other than 16e), only a Qi2 25W charger unlocks full speed.
Quick answers for popular models
- iPhone 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max, or iPhone 16 series (except 16e): get the 3-in-1 Foldable Wireless Charging Stand with Qi2 25W for full 25W speed at your desk or nightstand, or the OntheGo 3-in-1 Charger for travel.
- iPhone 12, 13, 14, 15, 16e, or 17 Air: your iPhone tops out below 25W, so every pick in this guide charges it at full speed. Choose by device count and location in Step 2.
- Apple Watch owners: the Watch only charges on products with a built-in Watch puck: the Qi2 25W stand, the OntheGo 3-in-1, the OntheGo 2-in-1, the Qi2 Trio pad, or the USB-C Fast Charging Cable for Apple Watch.
- Qi2 Android phones, such as Samsung Galaxy: Qi2 chargers work with Qi2-certified Android phones at up to 15W. Magnetic alignment requires a Qi2 phone or a magnetic case.
Step 2: Pick by how many devices charge at once
iPhone + Apple Watch + AirPods (three devices)
- 3-in-1 Foldable Wireless Charging Stand with Qi2 25W: the fastest option, 25W iPhone plus 5W Watch plus 5W AirPods, with a 45W adapter in the box.
- Qi2 Trio Wireless Charging Pad: lie-flat pad design, 15W phone plus 5W Watch plus 5W AirPods, aluminum with a vegan-leather base.
- 3-in-1 Foldable Qi2 Wireless Charging Stand: the stand version at Qi2 15W for all three devices.
- OntheGo 3-in-1 Charger: the travel version, folds flat and slips in a bag.
iPhone + AirPods, or iPhone + Watch (two devices)
- 2-in-1 Foldable Qi2 Wireless Charging Stand: Qi2 15W iPhone plus 5W AirPods, portrait or landscape.
- OntheGo 2-in-1 Charger: Qi2 15W iPhone charging plus 5W Apple Watch charging, folds flat for travel.
- Aluminum 2-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charging Stand: the budget magnetic stand for iPhone plus AirPods.
Apple Watch only
- USB-C Fast Charging Cable for Apple Watch: plugs into any USB-C port or adapter and supports Apple Watch fast charging.
Step 3: Three things that prevent surprises
- Cases: magnetic charging works through MagSafe-compatible cases or no case. Thick or non-magnetic cases block alignment.
- iPhone 16 series: update to iOS 26 or later to unlock 25W charging on a Qi2 25W charger.
- Power adapters: the Qi2 25W stand includes a 45W USB-C adapter. Other chargers need a USB-C power adapter with enough wattage for full speed.
- MacBooks and laptops: laptops do not charge wirelessly. For MacBook charging, see the wall and desktop options in Which Satechi charger is best for my needs?
