This User Manual covers the functions, setup, SSD installation, important notes, and certifications for the Satechi USB-C Dual Dock Stand - Docking Station with NVMe SSD Enclosure (ST-DDSM).

Functions

The dock's ports and components are numbered below to match the diagram.

Setup

Plug & Play:
1. Connect to a laptop. Both USB-C host connectors must be connected for the dock to function properly.
2. Connect your devices.

SSD Installation

The printed manual shows SSD installation in three illustrated steps:

A. Remove the SSD enclosure cover. The thermal pad (11) sits inside the enclosure.
B. Insert the M.2 NVMe or SATA SSD at a 30° angle, with the side marked "This side up" facing up.
C. Use a screwdriver to secure the SSD with its screw.

Note: When installing an SSD into the enclosure, ensure the SSD is properly formatted to be read by your host device's operating system.

Important Notes

Both USB-C connectors must be connected to the host device in order for the dock to function properly.

For dual monitor support, use both HDMI ports, or DisplayPort and the HDMI port on the far right. DisplayPort and the adjacent HDMI port will not function simultaneously. Dual monitors are not supported on Apple M1/M2 processors.

Dual extended displays are supported on M3 processors when the laptop lid is closed and in clamshell mode.

Prior to powering off Dual Dock Stand, ensure all external storage devices have been properly ejected. Failure to do so can result in corrupted or lost files.
