Work through the steps below in order.

Steps to try

1. Unfold the plug prongs fully and plug the 100W USB-C PD Wall Charger directly into a wall outlet rather than into a power strip or extension lead.
2. Check the power LED indicator on the charger. If it does not light up, move the charger to a different wall outlet.
3. Reseat your USB-C cable at both ends, at the charger's USB-C port and at your device.
4. Swap in a different certified USB-C cable that is rated for the power your device needs. A certified cable gives the fastest and safest charge, and a low-rated or charge-limited cable can hold charging back or stop it altogether.
5. Try charging a different USB-C device from the 100W USB-C PD Wall Charger. If the second device charges, the problem is with the first device or its cable.
6. If charging works but feels slow, that is often normal. Power Delivery lets the device request its own charging rate, so the charger only sends what that device is built to accept. Many phones draw about 18W to 30W, and a MacBook Air (M1, 2020) draws around 30W, even though the charger can supply up to 100W.
7. If you are travelling, remember the charger accepts 100V to 240V, so it works with outlets worldwide. Only the outlet shape may need a simple plug adapter, and that adapter changes the plug shape only.
8. Unplug the charger from the outlet, wait about ten seconds, then plug it back in and reconnect your device.
