Features
- 4K video output over HDMI or Mini DisplayPort
- Gigabit Ethernet for a stable wired connection
- Three USB-A 3.0 data ports, up to 5 Gbps
- SD and Micro SD card readers at UHS-I speeds
- USB-C Power Delivery pass-through charging
Important Limitations
The USB-C charging port will not support data transfer or video output. It is a power-only port.
A direct HDMI to HDMI cable is required for video output: Adapter chains and converters on the HDMI port are not supported.
A direct Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable is required for video output: Adapter chains and converters on the Mini DisplayPort are not supported.
Connect one display at a time. If a display is connected to both the HDMI and the Mini DisplayPort at once, the two outputs mirror each other and are limited to a maximum of 4K at 30Hz in SST mirror mode.
The USB-A ports will not support charging or CD readers, including the Apple SuperDrive. They are data-only ports.
Connect one bus-powered device at a time. The adapter draws its power from your laptop, so several bus-powered devices at once can exceed what it can supply.
