How to install the InstantView app for the Satechi USB-C Multiport MX Adapter

1. Download the InstantView app using this link: https://satechi.net/support/downloads
2. Select your host device operating system.
3. Download the latest driver directly from the SiliconMotion website.
4. Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen installation assistant.

How to finish InstantView setup on macOS for the Satechi USB-C Multiport MX Adapter

1. Drag the InstantView application into the Applications folder.
2. Find the InstantView app in your Applications folder and open the app.
3. Upon opening, macOS will prompt you to allow the downloaded application. Click "Open".
4. Once the application has been opened, connect the USB-C Multiport MX Adapter to your host device.
5. Upon initial setup, InstantView will ask for permission under Privacy & Security in Settings for Files and Folders. This is necessary for the adapter to access the InstantView app files.
6. InstantView will also ask for Screen Recording permission. This is needed to activate the secondary screen. For clarification, the application or adapter will not record your screen.
7. Once given permission, restart the app to activate the new settings and permissions.
8. When connecting a secondary HDMI monitor, there will be an InstantView pop-up. To disable this pop-up from appearing every time, right-click on the app icon in the menu bar and select "No Pop-up App on Plugin".

How to connect your screens to the Satechi USB-C Multiport MX Adapter

After the InstantView app is installed, connect your screens to the HDMI video ports. The manual shows one HDMI port at 4K@30Hz and one at 4K@60Hz.
