Product Overview

Turns one USB-C port on your laptop or tablet into six connections: 4K at 60Hz video over HDMI, two USB-A 3.0 ports for drives and accessories, SD and Micro SD card readers, and a USB-C Power Delivery port that keeps your machine charging while everything else stays plugged in. All ports can be used at the same time.

Setup

The USB-C Slim Type-C Multi-Port Adapter V2 is plug-and-play, no drivers or software required.

1. Connect to a laptop or tablet: Plug the adapter's USB-C connector into the USB-C port on your laptop or tablet.

2. Connect your devices: Connect your devices to the adapter's ports. All ports can be used at the same time.

Note: To keep your machine charging while the adapter is in use, plug its own charger into the adapter's USB-C PD port. Use a high speed HDMI cable for the display, connected directly from the adapter to the monitor.

Ports and Features

1. USB-C Connector: The attached USB-C cable and connector that plugs into your laptop or tablet. This single connection powers the adapter and carries all of its data and video.
2. HDMI Video Port (4K@60Hz): Video output to an external monitor, up to 4K at 60Hz. It needs a direct HDMI to HDMI cable, not an adapter or converter in the middle.
3. LED Indicator: Lights up to confirm the adapter is powered.
4. 2x USB-A 3.0 Ports: Two USB-A 3.0 ports for thumb drives, external drives and other accessories. Each port outputs 5V/1A. Connect one external hard drive at a time, and note that the Apple SuperDrive is not supported.
5. SD & Micro SD Card Reader (UHS-I): Card readers for SD and Micro SD cards at UHS-I speeds.
6. USB-C PD Port (60W Max): USB-C Power Delivery port for pass-through charging, up to 60W. Connect your machine's own charger here. It does not support data transfer or video output.

Important Limitations

USB-C charging port will not support data transfer or video output. It is a power-only port. Use the HDMI port for video, and the USB-A ports or the card reader for data.

Do not connect more than one external hard drive at a time. The adapter draws its power from your laptop or tablet, so a second bus-powered drive can pull more than it can supply.

Connected USB devices should not exceed an input current of 900mA. Each USB-A 3.0 port outputs 5V/1A. A device that draws more than that needs its own power supply.

The HDMI port needs a direct HDMI to HDMI connection. Adapter chains and converters on the HDMI port are not supported. Use a high speed HDMI cable straight from the adapter to the monitor.

The USB-A ports will not work with the Apple SuperDrive. Optical drives that draw their power from the port are not supported.
