Product Overview

The Satechi Bluetooth Media Button, part of the Bluetooth Button Series, pairs with your smart device over Bluetooth. Press it to play or pause in native audio or video apps, and use it to adjust volume and skip tracks. It runs on a pre-installed CR2016 battery with a battery life of 2 years. Please read the instructions before use and save this manual for future reference.

Setup

Pair the Media Button with your smart device.

1. Turn on Bluetooth: Make sure Bluetooth is "On" on your smartphone.
2. Start pairing: Press and hold the "Pairing" button until the LED is blue and blinking.
3. Find the device: Check for "POP Multimedia" on the list of detected devices.
4. Select it: Select "POP Multimedia" and wait for the pop up menu.
5. Pair: Tap the "Pair" button on the pop up menu.

Note: The Bluetooth Media Button appears in your device's list of detected devices as "POP Multimedia".

Using Multimedia Functions

1. Open native audio or video apps.
2. Press the Satechi Bluetooth Media Button to play/pause.
3. Adjust volume and skip tracks.

Deleting and Re-Pairing Your Media Button

The "Pairing" button is on the back of the unit. Press it using a thin long tool.

1. Press the "pairing" button on your Satechi Bluetooth Media Button using a thin long tool till the blue LED light turns on.
2. Press and hold the "pairing" button longer than 3 seconds till the blue LED light blinks. Previously paired data will be deleted and it is now ready to be paired to a new device.
3. If you want to re-pair the Satechi Bluetooth Media Button on your smartphone after un-pairing it, first go back to the Bluetooth settings menu and click "forget device" for "POP Multimedia".

Important Limitations

Compatibility: iOS Apple devices supporting Bluetooth 3.0 and later, and Android devices OS 4.4.4 or later.

Forget the device before re-pairing: To re-pair the Media Button on your smartphone after un-pairing it, you must first click "forget device" for "POP Multimedia" in your Bluetooth settings menu.

Pairing button needs a tool: Press the "pairing" button using a thin long tool.

Battery installation: Ensure the battery is installed correctly according to polarity (+ and -). Do not mix old and new batteries, or different brands or types of batteries such as alkaline, carbon-zinc, or rechargeable batteries. Always securely close the battery compartment. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product, remove the battery, and keep it away from children.

Battery disposal: Remove and immediately recycle or dispose of used batteries according to local regulations and keep away from children. Do not dispose of batteries in household trash or incinerate. Remove and recycle or dispose of the battery if the product will not be used for an extended period of time. Even used batteries may cause severe injury or death.

Do not recharge or damage the battery: Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. Do not force discharge, recharge, disassemble, heat above the manufacturer's specified temperature rating, or incinerate the battery. Doing so may result in injury due to venting, leakage, or explosion resulting in chemical burns.

Ingestion hazard: This product contains a button cell or coin battery. Death or serious injury can occur if ingested. A swallowed button cell or coin battery can cause internal chemical burns in as little as 2 hours. Keep new and used batteries out of reach of children. Seek immediate medical attention if a battery is suspected to be swallowed or inserted inside any part of the body. Call a local poison control center for treatment information.

RF exposure: This equipment complies with FCC RF radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. It should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 5 mm between the radiator and your body, and must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.

Modifications: Any changes or modifications (including the antennas) made to this device that are not expressly approved by the manufacturer may void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
