The USB-C port on the Type-C Aluminum Stand & Hub for Mac Mini outputs a maximum of 2.5W (5V/0.5A). That is enough to read low-power devices like a phone or a small flash drive, but not enough to power and read a bus-powered external SSD, such as a Samsung T7.
To use a powered external drive, connect it to one of the standard USB-A ports instead. The USB-A ports supply 3.5W (5V/0.7A) and will read the drive without any issues.
If your drive still is not recognized after switching to a USB-A port, please submit a support request and we will be glad to help.
