To pair or switch modes on the SM1 Slim Mechanical Backlit Bluetooth Keyboard, hold the fn key and one of the number keys 1 to 4 for 3 seconds. The backlight turns on for 3 seconds and then turns off after a successful connection.

• fn + 1: Bluetooth device 1
• fn + 2: Bluetooth device 2
• fn + 3: 2.4 GHz USB receiver
• fn + 4: Wired mode

To pair with Bluetooth:

1. Turn the SM1 Slim Mechanical Backlit Bluetooth Keyboard on with the switch on the top of the keyboard.
2. Hold fn + 1 or fn + 2 for 3 seconds.
3. Select your operating system: hold fn + O for 3 seconds for macOS, iPadOS, and iOS, or hold fn + P for 3 seconds for Windows.

To use the 2.4 GHz USB receiver:

1. Remove the included 2.4 GHz USB receiver from the back of the keyboard, where it is held by a magnet.
2. Connect the receiver to a USB-A port on your device or a compatible adapter.
3. Hold fn + 3 for 3 seconds.

To use wired mode:

1. Connect the included USB-C cable from the keyboard to your device.
2. Hold fn + 4 for 3 seconds.

In wired mode, the SM1 Slim Mechanical Backlit Bluetooth Keyboard charges while connected if the port supports power delivery.

On some Windows computers, pair the SM1 Slim Mechanical Backlit Bluetooth Keyboard through Control Panel instead of Bluetooth Settings, because Windows sees Satechi keyboards as input devices.
