The ESC key on the SM3 Slim Mechanical Backlit Bluetooth Keyboard flashes when Fn Lock is on. With Fn Lock on, the F1 to F12 keys work as standard function keys instead of media shortcuts.

• F1 to F12 work as normal function keys.
• Media controls such as volume, brightness, and play/pause need you to hold the Fn key.

To turn off Fn Lock:

1. Press and hold Fn + ESC for 1 to 2 seconds.
2. Release the keys when the ESC key stops flashing.

When the ESC key stops flashing, the media shortcut keys work without holding Fn.
