Yes, the Triple 4K Display Docking Station works with a USB-A host device by using the USB-C to USB-A adapter attached to the included host cable.
Things to know when using a USB-A connection:
- DisplayLink software must be installed on your computer before use. Download it at https://satechi.com/pages/displaylink-instructions.
- Only the Display 2 and Display 3 ports output video, so a USB-A host device supports up to two external monitors.
- The Display 1 HDMI port (DP Alt Mode) does not work over USB-A.
- A USB-A host device does not receive charging power from the Triple 4K Display Docking Station.
To use all three displays and up to 100W charging, connect the Triple 4K Display Docking Station to a USB-C port that supports Power Delivery.
