Media Controls Not Working in an App
Some apps (especially web-based players in browsers) may not respond to Bluetooth media keys. Try using the app's native desktop or mobile version instead of the web version.

The aluminum remote works on every media player (Web Youtube, IINA, Quicktime) on my Mac EXCEPT VLC. Why is this? Even when I have only VLC open, when I click on a button on the remote, it prompts my Mac to open Apple Music.
VERY FRUSTRATED. What can I do to get VLC working with my remote?
Attached is my system information.
