If the function keys on your SM3 Slim Mechanical Keyboard (ST-BTSMKW3) are not performing the expected actions, the keyboard may be in the wrong operating mode or your computer's keyboard settings may need to be adjusted.

Try the following:

1. If you're using an Apple device, make sure the keyboard is set to Mac mode.
2. Press Fn together with the desired function key. Depending on your settings, this switches between media controls and standard F1–F12 functions.
3. On macOS, go to System Settings > Keyboard and review the "Use F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys" setting to ensure it matches your preference.
