The SM3 keyboard's LED indicators mean the following:
Note: The SM3 keyboard uses LED indicator lights only. It does not have a screen, display, or any battery level icons. All charging and status information is communicated through the LEDs described below.
Charging LED illuminates blue: The keyboard is currently charging via the USB-C cable.
Charging LED turns off while the cable is still plugged in: Charging is complete. The blue LED is the only charging indicator — there are no battery icons or percentage readouts.
Space bar slowly flashes white: The keyboard's battery is low and the backlight has been disabled to conserve power. Connect the USB-C cable to charge.
Bluetooth LED (BT1 or BT2) blinking: The keyboard is in Bluetooth pairing mode and ready to connect to a device.
Esc key flashing every second: Function key lock (FN Lock) is on, meaning the F1–F12 keys act as standard function keys instead of media shortcuts.
Num Lock LED on: Num Lock is enabled. This indicator is only active when the SM3 is in Windows mode.
Blue Caps Lock LED on: Caps Lock is enabled.
