Parts Reference
1. Power & Pairing LED Indicator — Blue LED showing power on/off and Bluetooth pairing status.
2. USB-C Charging Port — Connect the included charging cable here to charge the keypad.
3. Charging LED Indicator — Red LED showing charging status.
4. Connect Button — Press and hold to enter Bluetooth pairing mode.
5. Power Switch — Slide to power the keypad on or off (green label = on).
Note: The keypad layout function is based on iOS and macOS default settings. The output might differ for different OS.
Powering On / Off
To turn the keypad on or off, move the Power Switch on the top of the device to the "on" position (the switch will display a green label). The power indicator turns on for approximately 5 seconds and then turns off.
Pairing Your Keypad
Entering Pairing Mode: Press and hold the Connect Button for approximately 5 seconds, then release. The Power & Pairing LED indicator will blink blue quickly. Once the keypad is paired, the blue light turns solid for approximately 5 seconds and then turns off.
To connect to a new device: Hold the Connect Button for approximately 5 seconds to disconnect and enter pairing mode again.
Pairing with Mac:
1. Turn on the keypad and put it in Pairing Mode.
2. On your Mac, go to System Preferences > Bluetooth. When "Satechi Bluetooth Keypad" appears, choose "Connect".
3. The blue LED will stop blinking, indicating successful pairing.
Pairing with iOS:
1. Turn on the keypad and put it in Pairing Mode.
2. On your iOS device, go to Settings > Bluetooth. When "Satechi Bluetooth Keypad" appears, choose "Connect".
3. The blue LED will stop blinking, indicating successful pairing.
Sleep Mode
When the keypad is powered on but not in use for one hour, it will enter a battery-saving sleep mode. Press any key to wake it up.
LED Indicators
Charging LED Indicator (Red):
The light turns on and stays solid red while charging. It turns off once the keypad is fully charged.
Power & Pairing LED Indicator (Blue):
Fast blinking blue — keypad is in Pairing Mode.
Slow blinking blue — keypad is low on battery.
Charging Your Keypad
The keypad is equipped with a rechargeable battery. When the battery is low, connect the keypad to a computer or USB wall adapter using the included charging cable. It takes 2 to 3 hours to reach a complete charge (until the red Charging LED turns off).
Note: The keypad cannot be used in wired mode by plugging directly into your computer, but it can be used wirelessly while charging.
