The virtual keyboard button on the R2 Bluetooth Multimedia Remote Control works only with iOS devices such as an iPhone or iPad. The R2 Remote uses the same Bluetooth profile as a wireless keyboard, so iPhones and iPads normally hide the on-screen keyboard while the R2 Remote is connected. The virtual keyboard button lets you show that on-screen keyboard manually. This feature is not supported on macOS, so the virtual keyboard button does not work on a MacBook Pro and cannot be customized for macOS.
