The Mac Mini M4 Stand & Hub with SSD Enclosure supports NVMe M.2 PCIe solid state drives in these sizes: M.2 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280. Speeds reach up to 10 Gbps over USB 3.2 Gen 2.

Please note these compatibility limits:

• Only NVMe M.2 PCIe SSDs are supported.
• SATA M.2 SSDs are not compatible.
• SSDs with heatsinks, and double-sided SSDs, are not compatible.

Satechi has tested these drives with the enclosure: Samsung 980 Pro, Samsung 990 Pro, WD_Black SN850X, WD_Black SN770, WD PC SN740, Crucial P3, Crucial P3 Plus, Nextorage series, and Teamgroup T-Force Z5. Tested 2230-size drives include the MP600 Mini (2230), WD_Black SN770M (2230), and Sabrent Rocket.

You can use other NVMe M.2 PCIe drives that are not on this list, as long as they meet the requirements above.
