The Triple 4K Display Docking Station supports up to three external displays at 4K and 60Hz. It is designed for MacBooks, including M1, M2, M3, and M4 models, and connects displays this way:
- Two DisplayPort 1.4 ports at 4K and 60Hz, which require the DisplayLink software.
- Three HDMI 2.0 ports at 4K and 60Hz. Two run through DisplayLink and one runs through DP Alt Mode.
On an M1 or M2 MacBook Air or Pro, which normally supports only one external display, the dock with DisplayLink installed supports up to three displays at 4K and 60Hz.
The dock also works with lower-resolution monitors, such as 1920 x 1200, and supports resolutions up to 4K at 60Hz.
Please note: the two front USB-C ports are for data and charging only and do not output video. To connect a monitor, use the HDMI or DisplayPort connections with the DisplayLink software. A USB-C display such as the Apple Studio Display cannot be connected to the front USB-C ports.
