Yes, install the included thermal pad on your SSD before you put the drive in the Satechi USB-C NVMe and SATA SSD Enclosure. The thermal pad helps keep the enclosure cooler.

1. Remove the plastic from the thermal pad.
2. Attach the thermal pad under the SSD.
3. Make sure the thermal pad is not blocking the pins.
4. Install the SSD in the enclosure.
