Yes, you can use a different cable with the Satechi USB-C NVMe and SATA SSD Enclosure as long as the cable supports USB 3.1 Gen 2 speeds of 10Gbps or higher.

Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 4, and USB4 cables also work, but the enclosure is limited to 10Gbps and will not reach 40Gbps transfer speeds.
