The Satechi USB-C NVMe and SATA SSD Enclosure works with M.2 NVMe and M.2 SATA SSDs. Speeds vary by SSD, up to 10Gbps for NVMe drives and up to 6Gbps for SATA drives.

• Western Digital Blue SN550
• Acer FA100
• Crucial P2

Satechi has tested these M.2 SATA drives with the enclosure:

• Samsung 860 EVO
• Samsung 850 EVO
• Kingston UV500
• Kingston A400
• Western Digital Green
• Western Digital Blue 3D

You can use a drive that is not on this list as long as the drive supports the same protocols and sizes as the enclosure.

• The enclosure is not compatible with SSDs that have pre-installed heat sinks, because the heat sink adds thickness.
• Attach the included thermal pad to the SSD before installing the drive.
