Can a hard shell case around the MacBook be used when plugging in this adapter?
A. No, the Pro Hub adapter was designed to sit flush against the side of the MacBook and a case will not allow the Pro Hub to fully connect into the Thunderbolt 3 ports.
If you have a case on your MacBook, we would recommend the Type-C Multi-Port Adapter which has very similar ports but connects through a wired Type-C connection.
