The Satechi DotDisk 80Gbps SSD Enclosure is plug and play, so no drivers are required. It works on macOS, Windows, and Linux.
How to set it up
- Install a compatible M.2 NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory Express) solid state drive (SSD) in the enclosure.
- Connect the enclosure to your computer with the included Thunderbolt 5 cable.
- The drive appears as an external storage device.
If you are using a new SSD, format it first so it shows as usable storage:
- On a Mac, use Disk Utility.
- On Windows, use Disk Management.
