The Satechi DotDisk 80Gbps SSD Enclosure does not support hot swapping. Always disconnect it before changing the drive so you do not lose data or damage the drive.

Safe steps to swap or remove the solid state drive (SSD)

1. Safely eject the DotDisk from your operating system.
2. Fully unplug the enclosure from your host device.
3. Open the enclosure and swap or remove the SSD.

Changing drives while the enclosure is still connected to the host can result in data loss or damage.
