If you want to use a USB-C extension cable with the Satechi Mini NVMe SSD Enclosure, you can remove the cable from the lanyard at the plastic cable connector cover.

Note: remove the cable at the plastic connector cover only. Trying to remove the lanyard entirely from the enclosure makes it very hard to reinstall.

How to use a USB-C extension cable

1. Open the side of the plastic cover closest to the braided cable.
2. Remove the cable from the lanyard cover.
3. Connect the extension cable to the Mini NVMe SSD Enclosure.
